The CCTV image released by police
Police have released this image of man they would like to speak to following a suspected shoplifting incident in Skipton.
It occurred at 6pm on Saturday, November 24, when a man entered the Tesco store on Craven Street and placed a number of bottles of Johnnie Walker whisky in his trolley before leaving without paying.
The man was pursued by staff members and abandoned the stolen items.
PC Andrew Ingram, of Skipton Safer Neighbour-hood Team, said: “If you are the man spotted on CCTV and are not responsible for the attempted theft, I urge you to get in touch with me so I can eliminate you from my inquiries.
“I am also appealing to members of the public. If they can name the man, get in touch with the police or Crimestoppers straight away.”
Contact PC Andrew Ingram at Skipton Police Station or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111, quoting reference number 12120199051.
