Upper Wharfedale vicar plans walk around parish boundary

The Rev Peter Yorkstone
Upper Wharfedale vicar the Rev Peter Yorkstone is organising a walk around the external boundary of his parishes.
The benefice – which takes in Hubberholme, Arncliffe, Kettlewell and Conistone – covers 100 square miles and the boundary is about 60 miles long.
“The aim would be to do it in four sections,” said Mr Yorkstone.
“It will be a strenuous walk, some of which will be over wild country with no footpath and only walls and fences to follow, but it will include exhilarating views and the pleasure of going to some remote and unvisited areas.
“I hope that some participants will use it as an opportunity for sponsorship and fundraising.”
Details of the walk are still being worked out, but anyone interested in taking part should contact Mr Yorkstone on (01756) 760237.
