Skitpon law firm raises £2,000 for Manorlands Hospice

Skipton law firm AWB Charlesworth has raised more than £2,000 for its 2012 charity of the Year, Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope.

The firm – which also has an office in Keighley – held a series of fundraising events.

A team entered the Keighley 10K run on Mother’s Day, which raised £550, and the runners put their trainers back on for the Leeds Half Marathon two months later.

Members of staff also took part in the Coniston Challenge Day and the Sue Ryder Beef and Beer dinner.

In addition, a bake-off was held between partners and the homemade cakes and pastries were sold to colleagues.

“The fantastic work done at Manorlands makes a huge contribution to our local community,” said wills and probate partner Liam O’Neill.

“We are proud to have supported this and will continue our links with Sue Ryder.”
