Craven soap star Peter Armitage, who plays Coronation Street’s Bill Webster, will host a 1940s event at Skipton’s Rendezvous Hotel next month.
The World War Two themed evening will include appearances by Yorkshire’s own Dad’s Army, the Haworth Home Guard, and entertainment from popular 1940s entertainer Paul Harper.
Guests, who are encouraged to dress in 1940s attire, will enjoy fare from the period before taking to the dance floor for a lesson in jive dancing.
The event will take place on Friday, February 8, and tickets cost £25, with the proceeds going to Sue Ryder’s Manorlands Hospice and the Yorkshire Society.
