Youngsters at Coates Lane Primary School, Barnoldswick, became Viking warriors for the day.

A Viking visited class three and gave an insight into what life was like for the Scandianavian warriors.

And the children helped to make oil burners from clay, took part in a Viking board game, learnt how to create a Viking shield and explored a wide range of Viking artefacts.
