Youngsters at Carleton-in-Craven Primary School got a taste of stardom – only to have their stage dreams dashed.
The children paid £1 to go to lessons dressed as their favourite pop stars to raise money for the school choir’s trip to the Young Voices concert at Sheffield Motorpoint Arena.
But the concert was called off because of the heavy snow on Monday – although it is expected to be rescheduled later in the year.
Pupils from Embsay Primary School were also due to attend the concert. And 30 choir members from Coates Lane Primary School in Barnoldswick had been expected to take part in a similar event at the Manchester Evening News Arena on Friday, but that too was cancelled.
