Blood donor sessions to be held in Silsden and Skipton

Three blood donor sessions are being held in Craven next month.

People are being urged to attend to bolster stocks, which are often depleted in winter.

Donna Batty, for NHS Blood and Transplant, said: “Patients undergoing major surgery and emergency treatment often require blood transfusions, but perhaps less well-known is the fact that blood is essential for the treatment of many different types of cancer and blood disorders.”

Sessions are being held at Silsden Methodist Church next Thursday, February 7, and on Thursday, February 21, from 2.30pm to 4pm and 5pm to 7.30pm and at Skipton Town Hall on Tuesday, February 12, from 2pm to 3.45pm and 4.45pm to 7.30pm.
