Priory Church: The services on Sunday are 8am Communion (said), 10.30am Sung Eucharist and 4.30pm Evensong. Each Wednesday there is a Communion Service at 10am. All services are BCP. Last Sunday, the Rt Hon Dr John Sentamu preached and celebrated at the 10.30am service to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Priory becoming a parish in its own right. Previously it had been part of the Skipton Parish. This was a great honour for the Priory and he brought his wife, Margaret, and his chaplain, The Rev Dr Daphne Green. The Duke of Devonshire and a congregation of more than 200 people attended the service. The archbishop met and spoke to everyone after the service. Everyone was then invited to a light buffet lunch in Bolton Abbey Village Hall, the lunch being supplied by the Priory congregation. Thanks go to all those who contributed in any way.
