Bradley Community News

Church news: Bradley Methodist Church and St Mary’s will be holding a united service on Sunday. The venue will be the Methodist Church, with the service starting at 10.30am. There will also be a united service at St Thomas’ Church, Sutton-in-Craven on Wednesday – Ash Wednesday – at 7.30pm.

School news: Pupils enjoyed a visit from Zoolab last week, when they had the opportunity of handling corn snakes, cane toads, hissing cockroaches and a Giant African snail! Class One visited the Toy Museum in Ilkley to learn about toys from the past. The school is in the process of setting up its own Facebook page.

Felting classes: Angela Barrow is holding a workshop on felt bags on Saturday, March 2. These will be seamless handbags with an integral handle and flap and will not involve any sewing. Those who have made a basic bag before can add internal and external pockets. The class will take place in Bradley Village Hall, from 10am to 4pm, and costs £40, which includes all materials and use of equipment, tea, coffee and homemade cake.
