The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has been given an Investors In People award.
The organisation, which looks after 680 square miles of beautiful countryside, has now been given the award for 12 consecutive years.
Robert Heseltine, the authority’s member champion for corporate management, said: “This award once again shows that, as well as caring for the national park in difficult economic circumstances, the authority is trying hard to support its staff. This really is a great start to the New Year.”
Authority chief executive David Butterworth said: “The IIP Assessor highlighted a number of strengths and good practice during her visit.
“She was particularly impressed by the way in which people have shown that they can sustain delivery and performance during the ongoing budget cuts and the sense of energy, drive and purpose she encountered in many of her meetings.
“But we are not complacent – we know there are always areas where we can improve.”
