Grassington Folk Museum is holding an open day on Saturday.

It will run from 11am to 7.30pm and visitors are invited to inspect the new Crowther Room, funded by a Heritage Lottery grant.

The new space - named after John Crowther, the Victorian antiquarian who lived in Grassington and founded the first museum - offers improved facilities for research and study by visitors, the community and staff.

Open day visitors will also be able to try their hand at rag rugging and watch old films of Grassington.
