Craven College has been ranked ninth out of 225 further education colleges for its apprenticeship success rate.

And it is now encouraging more young people to consider an apprenticeship as one of their progression options from Year 11.

Its success rate of 88 per cent is well above the national average, which stands at 73.7 per cent.

Principal Robert Bellfield said: “Apprenticeships overall are increasingly popular and more people and employers recognise the benefits they bring, particularly at advanced and higher levels.”

Craven College is offering pupils an insight into the various apprenticeships on offer at a taster day on Thursday, March 14 from 9.30am to noon. For more information, visit craven-college.ac.uk
