More than 1,400 people have visited the WR Mitchell Archive since it was launched last month.
The online project – spearheaded by Settle Stories – includes 400 taped interviews, carried out by local journalist Bill Mitchell over the past 40 years.
And the organisers are looking for volunteers to transcribe more of his interviews. Anyone interested should email info@settle stories.org.uk.
