Giggleswick shop is back in business

The last shop in a village which closed in April last year, has re-opened.

The former Giggleswick tea room – a magnet for youngsters from Settle College and Giggleswick School – is trading again, but in a new guise and with a new owner.

Mother of three Sarah Morse has re-named it The Tuck Shop and Village Store and sees it as the heart of the village.

She said: “The name says it all with an abundance of traditional and modern sweets, alongside the bare essentials for the locals, including bread, milk and basic groceries needed on the hop.

She said it was a dream fulfilled to run a traditional sweet shop.

“There is no other store in the village, with two schools very close by, so the sweet shop seemed the right choice.”
