Children’s charity Skipton Extended Learning For All has been presented with a cheque for £2,000 to provide holiday workshops for 75 children and young people.
The money was from North Yorkshire Police’s Why Should They? campaign fund, which distributes cash seized from criminals to local groups and charities whose work helps to prevent anti-social behaviour.
A cheque was presented by temporary Chief Constable Tim Madgwick to charity co-ordinator Emma Pears.
Emma said: “We’re thrilled to have been successful in our application to the fund. This is a really great boost to the charity which will help us extend our work and provide many more opportunities for young people across the Skipton area.”
The charity aims to improve the lives of vulnerable, disadvantaged and disabled children and their families who live in Skipton and Craven.
