Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust hosts guided walk in Wharfedale
7:00am Friday 22nd February 2013 in News
The Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT) will lead a guided walk in Wharfedale on Monday.
The six-mile walk will set off from the Red Lion in Burnsall at 10am and is expected to last about three-and-a-half hours.
The route follows the Dales Way along the River Wharfe towards Grassington, returning through scenic farmland and the villages of Linton and Thorpe.
Over the years, YDMT has been involved in a number of projects in the Grassington area and details will be shared during the walk.
The majority of the route is on flat land, with some moderate climbs. After the walk there is the option to enjoy lunch with YDMT at the Red Lion in Burnsall.
There is no charge to join the walk, but suggested donations of £15 to support the work of YDMT would be very much appreciated.
If you would like to join the walk, please call YDMT on 015242 51002 or email media@ydmt.org by 5pm tomorrow.
