Craven District Council rejects wind turbine applications
9:00am Friday 22nd February 2013 in News
Plans to put up wind turbines at two South Craven locations have been turned down by Craven District Council.
Permission had been sought to site two micro wind turbines on 18-metre high towers at Skythorns Farm, Cowling, and a single 34-metre high 50kw wind turbine on a 23-metre tower at Manor House Farm, Glusburn Moor.
However, the council approved the temporary siting of a 15 metre high test anemometer mast at Hawshaw Heights, Hawshaw Lodge Farm, Lothersdale. It will be used to test wind speeds and has been given temporary permission for four months.
