The Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust has celebrated the wide range of charitable work that has been made possible thanks to players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.

The Clapham-based charity has received more than £300,000 from the charity lottery, with the money going towards its efforts to protect and enhance the landscape, economy and communities of the Yorkshire Dales.

Representatives attended the People’s Postcode Lottery Charity Gala at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.

David Sharrod, the Trust’s director, said: “Thanks to the support of Postcode Green Trust – funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery – we are able to deliver more charitable projects that benefit the landscape and communities of the Yorkshire Dales than ever before.”

The People’s Postcode Lottery has raised £22.6 million for good causes in England, Scotland and Wales to date.
