The 1st Skipton (St Andrew’s) Rainbows have been busy raising money for Comic Relief 2013.
They have made and sold delicious Red Nose biscuits – and also helped to complete an important mission.
Helen Skelton, from children’s TV programme Blue Peter, had asked for Girlguiding UK’s help to make some bunting flags.
Helen needed each group to make two flags, two metres in size, to go towards the world’s largest bunting line, which will be displayed across a large bridge in the North.
“Whilst we’ve been having lots of fun, we’ve also managed to raise over £50 for Comic Relief,” said Rainbow leader Jane Nicholson. “We are hoping that we’ll see our flags on Blue Peter soon and maybe even see them being hung on the bridge.”
