Craven celebrates Women's World Day of Prayer

Services will be held across Craven to mark the Women’s World Day of Prayer tomorrow (Friday).
This year’s service has been prepared by the women of France and will include a meditation and picture presentation on the theme “I was a stranger and you welcomed me”.
Although planned by women, it is not exclusive and men and young people are welcome to go along and celebrate with 200,000 people around the world.
In Skipton, services will be held at Trinity Methodist Church at 2pm and at St Andrew’s Church at 7.30pm.
The day will also be marked in Settle where Sita Brand from Settle Storytelling Festival will speak at a service at the Friends Meeting House at 7.30pm.
Other services will take place at All Saints, Earby, at 2pm, All Saints, Burton-in-Lonsdale, also at 2pm, and St Peter’s Methodist Church, Cross Hills, at 7.30pm.
