Children from Horton-in-Ribblesdale Primary School joined their peers at Settle College for a special science project.
Jane Edwards, assistant headteacher at the primary school, said pupils from year six visited Settle College for a transition project aimed at allowing the youngsters to use some more advanced science equipment for a lesson about changing materials.
Mrs Edwards said: “Settle College’s year seven children will be working with our pupils using Bunsen burners to melt glass and turn limestone into lime.”
