Pupils from St Stephen’s School, Skipton, have been learning about the wonders of the solar system.

The primary school pupils took part in a day of space-related science at Holy Family Catholic School, Keighley.

The children performed a variety of experiments designed to investigate features of the different planets and to answer questions such as “what is required to get a rocket to the moon?” and “why is water so important for our planet”.

The youngsters will return to Holy Family School later in the year to present their scientific findings to parents.
