Eastburn Junior and Infant School staged its annual Health Week as youngsters returned from their half-term holiday.

The initiative included a repeat visit from the Life Caravan, a mobile classroom packed with activities.

Topics ranged from how the body works, the importance of a healthy diet and exercise and the safe use of medicines to emotional wellbeing and the risks of tobacco, alcohol and non-prescription drugs.

The week also included sessions with Bradford City’s Respect team and a diversity and acceptance workshop.

Tracy Henney, the healthy schools co-ordinator and personal, social and health education leader, said: “The week has gone really well and the children have enjoyed taking part in the various activities.”
