Campaign to save Horton-in-Ribblesdale to Settle bus service

A co-ordinated campaign could be launched to save the bus service, which runs between Horton-in-Ribblesdale and Settle.
The service – which continues onto Clitheroe – is currently being provided on a temporary contract by Holmeswood Coaches.
There are fears North Yorkshire County Council and Lancashire County Council will discontinue the route when the contract ends in June.
The matter was raised at a recent meeting of Horton parish council when the clerk was instructed to write to Stainforth and Langcliffe parish councils to seek co-ordinated action to secure the future of the route.
