Addingham Pantomime Group has completed a run of eight performances of Sleeping Beauty, providing great entertainment and raising funds for a good cause.

At the end of each performance a collection was taken for the Airedale Haematology Oncology Day Unit (HODU).

Andy Burns, who played Dilbert Pickles, presented Alan Davies, a foundation trust governor, with a cheque for £1,000.

Thanking audiences for their generosity, Mr Davies said he felt the high level of collections each evening reflected the excellent comedy and pleasure the group had delivered to nearly 1,000 people.

He said the money would be given to Pat Diminski, clinical nurse specialist in HODU, for her and her colleagues to provide additional patient-monitoring equipment to further improve patient care during day visits.
