A luncheon club has served up a £320 cheque to the Manorlands Sue Ryder hospice at Oxenhope.

The Wednesday Luncheon Club raises funds at its twice-monthly meals, held in pubs and restaurants at locations stretching from Bingley to Skipton.

Sue Ryder fundraiser Andrew Wood was presented with the donation after members had enjoyed lunch at the Kingfisher Fish and Chip Restaurant, Cross Hills. He thanked the group and organiser Christopher Binns for their support.

Mr Wood said: “Our Sue Ryder team based at Manorlands provides 100 per cent of the palliative care for the area in which the luncheon club members live and we can only do this with the support of community groups such as this.”
