Local law firm Walker Foster rose to the Will Aid challenge.

During November, it drew up more than 90 wills in exchange for a donation to Will Aid, which supports nine UK charities including the British Red Cross, Age UK, Christian Aid and the NSPCC.

It raised £5,385 across its five offices at Skipton, Silsden, Cross Hills, Barnoldswick and Ilkley, making it one of the top donating firms nationwide and bringing the total collected since it joined the scheme in 2009 to £18,407.

Under the scheme, participating solicitors waive their fee for writing a basic will and, instead, invite their clients to make a donation to Will Aid. Since being founded in 1988 it has raised more than £11 million.
