A driver caught doing 83mph on the 60mph section of the A59 at Beamsley has been ordered to pay £125 in fines and costs.
Dean Bruce Ellison, 35, pleaded guilty to speeding in his Vauxhall Insignia on October 24 last year. Skipton magistrates heard on Friday he had been offered a fixed penalty but had been unable to take it up because of work.
Ellison, of Colts Close, Burbage, Hinckley, was fined £60 and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points. He was also ordered to pay costs of £45 and a victim’s surcharge of £20.
