St Oswald’s: On Sunday, Dr Sheila Hunter preached the fourth of the lent series “ I am the bread of life”. The Mothering Sunday service had many highlights with seeds to plant, bread to share and small bunches of flowers for all the congregation. This Sunday, the 9.30am service will be led by Mike and Natalie Prince, with the Lent sermon, “The water of life”.
Lent Group: Thornton and Burton Lent group meets each Wednesday at 7.30pm, with next week’s meeting at Burton Methodist Church and the March 27 meeting at Westhouse Village Hall. The theme for the meetings is “Jesus through other eyes”. All are welcome.
