Whist drive: This month’s whist drive in Buckden Village Institute will take place on Wednesday, with the first hand commencing at 7pm. Entry is £2. The final event of the season will be held on Wednesday, April 3. Further information is available from David Lusted on 01756 760877.

Fashion show: The Wharfedale Manorlands Support Group will hold a fashion show in Cracoe Village Hall on Thursday, March 28. at 7.30pm. There will be ladies’ wear, children’s wear and accessories on offer as well as chain stores’ overstock. Tickets cost £5 to include a glass of wine and are available from Catherine on 760202 and June on 753139.

St Michael’s: St Michael and All Angels’ Church, Hubberholme, is continuing the tradition of decorating the church with lilies at Eastertide. An invitation is extended to dedicate messages for loved ones. A donation of upwards of £2.50 is suggested and cheques should be to Hubberholme Church and sent with the dedication to Susan Lusted, Dalegarth, Buckden, BD23 5JU. Visitors will be welcome to view the displays and for those unable to visit photos will be on the village website buckden.org.
