Residents are celebrating after winning money to stop Silsden Beck flooding in the centre of town.
Silsden Youth Council and Silsden Environmental Group have been awarded £2,500 from Bradford Council.
They successfully applied to Keighley Area Committee for a share of cash earmarked for environmental improvements in Silsden.
A committee grant of £1,500 was boosted by £1,000 from ward councillor Adrian Naylor's individual budget for local projects.
The money will pay for work to enable water to continue flowing down the beck when levels rise in heavy rain.
Coun Naylor said the beck and its banks would be cleared of rubbish and other obstacles.
He added the money would also pay for gates at an opening in the bankside wall near the Kirkgate footbridge.
