More than 3,000 people flocked to St George’s Day celebrations in Barnoldswick on Saturday.
The celebrations, which took place in conjunction with the Rainhall Centre’s second annual festival, saw scores of people taking part in a patriotic food trail.
Richard Milner, who organised the St George’s Day celebrations, said: “We had a very successful day. I reckon 3,000 people attended throughout the day. Both events complemented each other.”
As part of the celebrations, Mr Milner said the first-ever fire engine pull went down well, with four teams taking part. A group of ladies were crowned the winners and they donated their £50 prize money to the Friends of Cravenside Home for Older People.
“There was very good family fun for the whole community,” added Mr Milner. “A lot of people came together, which was nice to see.”
