Gargrave turbine ruling due next month
8:00am Tuesday 13th August 2013 in News
A decision on whether a wind farm can be built near Gargrave is not expected until at least next month.
A public hearing was held in May after Energiekontor UK appealed against Craven District Council’s decision to refuse permission for three 100-metre turbines at Brightenber Hill.
At the end of the two-day hearing, the government planning inspector said her decision would take longer than normal because public notices had not included that the application could damage the setting of listed buildings.
A planning inspectorate spokesman said a decision would be made within six weeks.
