Dr Frances McWilliam joins Townhead Surgery at Settle
8:00am Tuesday 13th August 2013 in News
Dr Frances McWilliam has joined Settle’s Townhead Surgery.
Dr McWilliam went to school in Cheshire and graduated from Newcastle University in 2006.
After working as a junior doctor in hospitals in Northumberland, she decided her interest lay in primary care and she joined the York GP Training Scheme, gaining a qualification in family planning and sexual health.
She also spent 12 months working at Whangarei Hospital in New Zealand and at the remote Miak Health Clinic in Papua New Guinea.
Dr McWilliam qualified from the scheme as a GP in August 2012 and moved to the Craven area to be closer to family.
She will work four days a week for the practice at both the Settle and Hellifield surgeries.
