Bentham is hoping it has found the recipe for success.
Two local groups – We Are Bentham and the Bentham Environmentally Sustainable Town (BEST) – have joined forces to organise a seven-day local food and beer festival, which starts on Saturday.
Lending a hand are volunteers from the Looking Well who have created a piece of art to promote the event and will host A Ploughman’s Lunch from Scratch – a workshop on how to make bread, cheese, butter and pickles – next Friday, August 23.
Other highlights include a tour of a local vegetable garden on Sunday and a crop swap stall in Main Street next Saturday, August 24.
