The people, environment and communities of the Yorkshire Dales are set to benefit from a £76,000 boost from the People’s Postcode Lottery.
It has given the money to the Clapham-based Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT) – and brings the total received by the charity to £377,332.
YDMT director David Sharrod said: “This is a staggering amount of money and we are very grateful to everyone who plays for their support which helps us to deliver a wide range of projects including habitat conservation, education and outreach, access improvements and apprenticeship schemes.”
Kate Pearson, acting head of charities at People’s Postcode Lottery, said: “We’re so happy to be able to support this wonderful charity again.
“It’s great that people in Yorkshire, including players of People’s Postcode Lottery, are able to benefit from the work they do. We see the difference they make to the lives of people time and again.”
The People’s Postcode Lottery was launched in January 2008.
