Beverley Beaumont is Airedale Hospital's midwife of the year

A veteran midwife at Airedale Hospital has won plaudits for her hard work and professionalism.
Beverley Beaumont, who has been a midwife for more than 20 years at the hospital, was nominated by her colleagues for Airedale’s own midwife of the year initiative.
The scheme was introduced earlier this year to thank staff for their dedication and to show some recognition for anyone who is rated highly by their peers.
There are more than 100 midwives working at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
Sarah Keogh, labour ward manager, said: “Bev was nominated as midwife of the year as she is calm, approachable, hardworking and everyone likes her. She has done a lot of work supporting parents who have been fundraising for our new bereavement room.”
