Youngsters enjoy Summer Shock Festival at Aireville Park, Skipton
10:00am Friday 16th August 2013 in News
More than 200 youngsters enjoyed the first-ever Summer Shock Festival in Skipton’s Aireville Park.
Aimed at young people aged from 11 to 19, the event offered art and sports based workshops and a showcase for a wide-range of musical talents.
“It was really good,” said Emma Pears, from Skipton Extended Learning For All, which helped to organise the event.
“It had a real festival feel and, if we get the funding, it is something we would repeat next year.”
However, youngsters don’t have to wait that long for more festival fun – a second Summer Shock will be held in the grounds of the old Settle Middle School on Wednesday from 3pm to 10pm.
Admission is free.
