Chance to sign up for Craven Dog Watch scheme
8:00am Sunday 18th August 2013 in News
More opportunities have been made available for people to sign up to Craven’s Dog Watch scheme.
The scheme operates on a similar basis to Neighbourhood Watch, but puts the onus on the dog walker.
“As dog walkers tend to be out and about early mornings and late evenings, whilst other people are indoors, they are more likely to see or hear things relating to crime,” said police community support officer Sarah Hargreaves.
Dog walkers can sign up for the scheme – which is funded by Craven Community Safety Partnership and supported by Craven District Council – on Friday.
The team will be at Cowling Park from 9.20am to 9.40am; Hawthorns/Glusburn, 9.45 to 10am; Sutton Park, 10.10 to 10.30am; Glusburn Park, 10.45 to 11am; Cononley, 11.20 to 11.40am; Bradley, noon to 12.30; and Aireville Park, Skipton, 1.30 to 2.30pm.
All times are approximate and for updates on locations, follow twitter @CravenCSP.
For more information, contact Sarah at Skipton Police Station on 101.
