Time is running out to enter our summer photography competition.

We’ve received nearly 200 photographs so far, and you have until August 24 to send us your entry.

The theme for the competition is Summer in North Yorkshire and what it means to you – but apart from that, let your creativity flow.

We’ve had some stunning pictures of the Dales, while animal pictures also appear popular.

Potraits are also welcome, but all pictures must have been taken within our circulation area and by the person submitting them (or the parent/guardian of anyone under 16).

Maple Leaf Images in Skipton and Skipton Camera Centre have provided some great prizes – with the top photo winning a Panasonic Lumix TZ35 camera worth £250 as well as a 20” x 16” canvas print of the winning shot worth £55.

Two runners-up will also get 20” x 16” canvas prints of their images.

Please remember to include your name, address and where the photograph was taken. We will have to disqualify those in areas we can’t identify.

Also, try to make pictures below 5MB and above 1MB in size (too small and they won’t be usable in the paper).

The full terms are available on cravenherald.co.uk (http://bit.ly/14MY7HF).

The judges’ decisions are final and no discussions will be entered into.

Pictures can be emailed to matt.cornish@cravenherald. co.uk or posted to Craven Herald, 38 High Street, Skipton BD23 1JU (we can’t return pictures).

* Please note, the pictures featured have been chosen at random and their appearance here will have no impact on the judging.
