The landmark 40th anniversary Addingham Allotments and Gardens Association Show attracted quality produce and high-standard handicrafts and floral art.

The show, held at Addingham Memorial Hall, Main Street, on Saturday, attracted 286 exhibits, plus 65 children’s entries.

As well as the high standard of entries from the grown–ups, organisers say all the children’s entries were exceptional.

They thanked staff at Addingham Primary School for allowing the pupils to use their imagination in the various sections.

The show was open to the public in the afternoon and again was very well supported, with visitors making some encouraging comments.

This year, the association asked if members would like to sponsor classes for the show and there was an excellent response, with the money going to finance the show.

Prizes were presented by David Harrison and gala queen Keira Heckman.
