Beer festival: Giggleswick and Settle Brass Band have pulled out of a beer and music festival, due to have taken place at the Craven Arms, Giggleswick, next Sunday, August 25. “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the band are unable to play so the event has been cancelled and will be rearranged,” said band chairman Peter Face.
Giggleswick Gazelles: On Friday, September 20, the Gazelles will meet at 5.30pm at Eshtons Pavilion, Raines Road, Giggleswick. This will be followed by a trot to Gateway to Health in Settle to speak to fellow Gazelle and reflexologist Penny Lowe. Tea and cakes will be enjoyed before the runners head back to the pavilion. Full details are available on the website pennylowe.co.uk. The Gazelles is a beginners’ running group which meets from 5.30pm to 6.30pm at Eshtons Pavilion every Friday. New members are welcome and the first session is free.
