Appeal lodged over local occupancy condition on homes planned in Austwick
8:00am Sunday 25th August 2013 in News
A planning inspector will decide whether a local occupancy condition imposed on proposed new homes in Pant Lane, Austwick, can be removed.
Developer Kerrowmere Ltd claims the condition does not fulfil a planning function and is, therefore, unlawful.
It also alleges the condition hinders the sale of the properties.
However, the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, which has refused to lift the condition, says the restriction contributes towards a supply of local market housing and is part of national park policy.
Now Kerrowmere has lodged an appeal against the refusal.
