8:00am Sunday 25th August 2013 in News
A Yorkshire Champagne Charity Afternoon Tea in Silsden to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Farm Stay UK was a sparkling success.
The event, hosted at Pickersgill Manor Farm by Farm Stay members Lisa and Marcus Preston, was organised by the Dales and Bronte Group of the national on-farm accommodation provider.
Sixty guests enjoyed a champagne reception, followed by home-made afternoon tea featuring products from local suppliers.
The event raised £250 for the Richardson Suite cancer unit at Airedale Hospital.
Among those present were Farm Stay UK chief executive Andy Woodward, national chairman Barbara Sleep and Yorkshire director Rosemary Hyslop.
Mrs Preston, who hand-crafted a 30th anniversary Farm Stay cake for the occasion, said: “The Dales and Bronte Group pulled out all the stops and created a top-class afternoon tea with surroundings to match. I loved every minute and would like to thank everyone for their support.”
