A Skipton businessman who received a commendation from Facebook for his work on a national classic car event, is celebrating after being shortlisted for a prestigious CIPR PRide Award.
The CIPR PRide Awards recognise the outstanding talents and achievements of public relations practitioners across the UK’s regions and nations.
They are the most prestigious and rigorous awards of their kind.
Paul Amourdedieu & Associates, who specialise in corporate, consumer and charity PR and marketing communications, have been recognised for their outstanding work across the region and the UK. The award nomination was for the teams’ successful role in turning around a major international classic and supercar event, Warren Classic and Concours, with just five weeks notice – helping the organisers to secure international exposure and almost 7,000 visitors.
Paul Said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to have made it to the finals for the CIPR Awards which received a huge number of entries. “It was already good to secure feedback on our media skills direct from Facebook, but this recognition adds to my belief that a good work ethic, a strong strategy and ethos of transparency really works. “We seem to be building a reputation for ‘turnaround activity’ and developing high-impact approaches to secure strong results for our clients – of course a bit of planning time is always good, but we’re happy to help if and when needed.”
This year marks the tenth anniversary of the CIPR PRide awards, which will be held at The Queens Hotel in Leeds on November 28. Commenting on this year’s shortlist announcement the chair of CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Gary Taylor MCIPR said: “The CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards celebrate the very best in public relations from across our region.
“This year’s entries were all of an incredibly high standard, highlighting the industry-leading work that is taking place locally.
“Being shortlisted for an award demonstrates the impact Paul and his team have made, in the region and beyond, in our vibrant and thriving profession.”
