Plans for former Settle police station withdrawn
9:00am Saturday 31st August 2013 in News
Conversion plans for Settle’s former police station have been withdrawn by the police and crime commissioner.
An application to convert the station into ten flats was submitted to Craven District Council earlier this year, but has been withdrawn before it reached the council’s planning committee.
Agents acting for the commissioner had expressed a difference of opinion over the amount of affordable housing expected to be included in the development. The station has been empty and unused since March last year after the police station moved to converted stables at the back of the property.
