Flower festival at Holy Trinity Church, Skipton, tells the story of Noah
8:00am Friday 30th August 2013 in News
The Story of Noah was the theme of a flower festival held at Holy Trinity Church in Skipton over the Bank Holiday weekend.
“It’s a Bible story we liked and there are lots of ideas that could be illustrated with flowers,” said organiser, Chris Norman. “The ladies of the church have done the flowers, along with members of flower clubs at Embsay, Steeton and North Craven, as well as members of various local churches.”
The Story of Noah was told in 39 flower displays that were prepared for visitors who attended the festival on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
“It’s gone extremely well,” said Chris. “A lot of people have been in and out for the whole of the three days.”
Proceeds will be shared between church funds and Martin House Children’s Hospice.
