9:00am Saturday 31st August 2013 in News
A series of workshops on how to run street parties and mini-festivals will help residents and businesses make the most of the Tour de France when it comes to Craven next July.
“How to run a Tour de France event in Craven” will be held at Craven District Council’s office in Belle Vue Square, Skipton, next Thursday, September 5, at 6pm. It is exclusively for Craven residents.
The free workshop will include the launch of the council’s Event Management Guide, updated with the latest legislation information and useful templates for essential paperwork.
Entry is by ticket only and these can be obtained by visiting craventourdefrance.
eventbrite.co.uk Councillor Simon Myers, lead member for the Tour de France, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Craven to showcase what a lovely part of the world we live in.”
A cultural festival, starting on March 27, will kick off the 100-day countdown to Le Grand Depart.
