Cyclists tackle 210-mile route
5:20pm Thursday 5th September 2013 in News
A team of cyclists – including Addingham pub owner Craig Minto – completed a gruelling 210-mile ride from Edinburgh to South Craven.
Craig, who owns the Fleece, led the cyclists as they raised funds for a cancer charity.
They started at The Sun Inn, Dalkeith, and travelled approximately 40 to 60 miles each day until they reached the finishing line outside his Addingham pub.
Craig was introduced to cycling by his good friend Scott Spitty, who has leukaemia and cycles to help with the condition.
Craig said: “A few of us have been toying with the idea of doing the Edinburgh to Leeds for a few weeks so I thought I would put it in black and white and get cracking.”
All proceeds will go to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. To donate, visit justgiving.com/ Edinburgh-Addingham2013.
