A “sexual predator” who groomed and abused two children has been locked up for a total of nine years.
Darren Calvert, 37, of Wentcliffe Drive, Earby, admitted a total of 13 allegations when he appeared before Burnley Crown Court.
He pleaded guilty to three counts of indecent assault, one of indecency with a child and nine charges of engaging in sexual activity with a child, causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity or causing a child to watch a sexual act. He had no previous convictions.
Calvert was given an indefinite sexual offences prevention order and was also ordered to sign the sexual offences register for life.
Richard Taylor, for Calvert, said his long-term aim was to be cured of the “illegal and unlawful” desires that he had and had carried out.
